Bit about 1000 humane officers, postal workers, meter readers, etc. all over
the US and Canada as part of Diane's seminars on how to deal with dangerous
dogs.  And he was always the life of the party.

Ate so many donuts he got high cholesterol.  He got three write in votes to
be President of the Kansas State Animal Control Association.

He made a lot of people love pit bulls.  And he did it not by being a soft,
wimpy dog but being a full blooded, hard biting, responsible professional
that people could relate to and respect.  He had dignity, kindness with just
a touch of seriousness you never wanted to push.  But with family and friends
he was pure love and trust.

I personally don't think he would have been a champion fighting dog, though
of course he was never even rolled.  But I do know that he would have given
his life for me.  He did everything I ever asked of him.  He was always
there.  He  was always a professional.  He never let me down.  I put him in
many difficult and trying situations and he handled them all with good grace.
How many people can do the same?

It was the honor of a lifetime to know him.  We shared so much together.  My
thoughts were always on him, and still are.

If he had never entered so much as a fun match, I would feel the same way
about him.  The titles and movies made no real difference in our
relationship.  My memories of Dread are of him lying on the couch with his
head in my lap, always looking up at me.  Just him and me.
